The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean but that is about it. After promises of a free welcome drink, a bar, a restaurant and a travel desk we were dissapointed when we arrived and found none of the above. There is a common room that the staff who works there takes over most of the time. The location is great near the bund, but if you are staying here expecting more than just a clean bed you will not find it.

I booked a 8 female dorm, but was given a 12 mixd dorm, what the hell! The broken internet connection really caused me much inconvenience. although the internet bar close by was cheap, it stinks! Can't stay there for more than an hour. The worst hostel experience I've ever had.

we were charged full amount even though we had already paid ten per cent on the hostelworld account and told it was because of the rate of the dollar on the day????

The hostel staff was really great and since we travelled when there was the snow chaos, they really helped us a great deal to get home ! The atmosphere was very familiar and cosy. there was a shared room to gather together with Internet 1h for free, TV, DVD-recorder and movies, microwave... all u need! all furniture (beds etc) were totally new since they had just opened for 3 months when we arrived. the only bad thing was the freezing cold unnormal(untypical) weather... but we could turn on the air conditioners. one not so got thing we the toilets (could be cleaner) and the shower room (quite cold we bc of the weather). But, all in all really great!!! Thanx!!!

The address shown is a mailing address. It is on the South of Yan An Rd, and entrance of the lane is on Sichuan Rd. Suggested to keep phone number and let the driver to talk with the manager. The manager is the only one who take care of this hostel, and I believe he is a artistic instead of a business one. It is true that he needs some helpers. Hey! Tall man! I can see your passion, because we found something special in the storeroom. Work hard!
