The bungalows are brand new with smart, quality furnishings. They are set back from the street in a cool, leafy compound. Graham, the proprietor, and his fantastic staff make you feel at home right off the bat, and The Pub itself is a great place to meet people and pick up local information. The location is perfect for those who would prefer to escape the tourist ghetto yet have access to all the amenities you could want in Chiang Mai. One can easily walk to the greener parts of the city at the foot of Doi Suthep including Chiang Mai University, to the dining and night spots of Nimmenheimen Rd, and to the Kad Suan Kaew shopping complex and its supermarket. Transport to the into the city center or elsewhere is cheap, abundant, and right out front. If you'd like to break away from the herd and maybe stay a bit, stay here.

Chiang Mai was our first stop in Thailand and it couldn't of got off to a better start. Gramham (the owner) was a great host and went out of his way to make stay a fantasic experience. The rooms were spotless and was the best bed i have slpet in since we started traveling five months ago! I would recommend 'the pub' to anyone traveling to chiang mai
