been travelling for 10 months and this by far the worst place we stayed. I dont believe the previous reviews. the beige carpet was black with dirt, had never been hoovered. Bathroom disgusting, pubic hair on the floor. aircon didnt work...the list goes on. extremely old and run down hotel, certainly not a hostel. no other "travellers" staying there, no tourist info, no internet access, noone speaks english.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed in. The staff were the most helpful and obliging I have come across, nothing was too much trouble for them.Serve good cheap food. A++ for this place!

the staff are really really nice and the location is great easy to find and on the central metro line, the rooms where not cleaned very well though, and althogh you can hang out with the staff there isn't really and area you can properly sit and chat with other travellers. apart from that it is worth the money and i enjoyed my stay

This hostel has heaps of charm. The food on offer is homecooked, delicious but exceptionally cheap. A great central location that gives you a real feel for the lifestyle of Beijiners in the 'hutongs'. Recommended. Location is perfect, close to many parks and pubs.

Great place to stay, in a real hutong near the lama temple and near the subway that takes you everywhere else. In this big city, being near a subway is vital !! Had a great time, the staff were helpful and friendly. apart from that it is worth the money and i enjoyed my stay
