Stay at Shara Mountains if you like helpful, friendly, awesome staff. The brothers who own this place really worked to make my time in Petra more enjoyable. They gave me all kinds of great information, and even helped me get tickets to an event two minutes before ticket sales closed. A wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended.

The owner was very sad to know we had internet reservation, as he was already hoping to fool the casual tourist asking us higher rates, but then he applied the rate as reserved online.

Staff were very helpful but they should tell everyone about the hot water when they check in. You have to tell them to turn on the hot water if you want a hot shower and they do will do it without any problems.

This hotel is quite new and room is clean. The staffs are little gloomy but kind. But they can't do anything without manager's permission even the lift to Petra. We asked shuttle to Petra one day before but the staff only said that we should ask the manager directly despite the manager always out. After all we couldn't get shuttle and the staff pays money to taxi to send us to Petra. He said that we should take taxi for return way and be paid back money. But the all taxi from Petra has never run

My husband and I spent 3 nights in this hostel, double room ensuite. The owners were nice and no pushy. We were recomended a very nice arabic restaurant and a turkish bath which were always busy with locals + very clean (good sign!).The hostel is very close to the town centre, shops, etc. If you are a light sleeper ask for a back room if available, also cooler in the summer.Hot water available, but we didn't use it as it was quite warm outside. The hostel is pretty new and clean and we also felt reall
