they should change the rates on the hostelworld website. i booked a double room and got a single room instead and still had to pay for the double. so i ended up staying only for 4 nights and the rest in the downtown backpackers. almost same location and highly recommended!

Wonderful place!! Great staff! Spent 8 nights @ Hutong Ren and if you really wanna have a taste of what life is like @ Hutong (alley) and to know more about Hutong culture, I would recommend this place. The only problem is the classification of the room types, they have many types and price varies a lot . I've feedback to the staff and hope that this problem could be resolved soon.

Well, it's a nice place, but far from being as modern as it looks on the pictures! Can get better (but less charming) for the price...I would say it's a kind of friendly but home made do-it-yourself hotel!
