The only disadvantage we found is that the hostel does not have an elevator and our room was at the 3rd floor!! Apart from that, everything was ok and the breakfast at the garden was excellent!!

We loved Villa Stella...It's a bit more expensive than most hostels, but we found it worth it — the rooms are adorable and quite comfortable, and the included breakfast is AMAZING. Downside: it's a bit of a distance from the city center of Venice — it's on the nearby island of Lido, which is serviced by many of the water buses...but public transportation in Venice is reliable but slow, so getting back and forth can be frustrating, especially at night. That being said, Lido is really pretty, and I would definitely choose to stay here again, and for longer. We had a great experience.

We had a thouroughly brilliant time at Villa Stella! thanks.
We had a lovely stay at Villa Stella, the hotel was a little pricey for what it was though great to be outside of the main tourist areas.

Villa Stella was a quaint little place that was quite a treat, and a nice break from the crappy hostels we stayed in during our backpacking trip. Full of flowers, there was a pretty outdoor lounge where guests mingled at night. Lido is absolutely gorgeous, and not far away at all from the mainland of Venice. The lady at reception was exrememly friendly and helpful; she gave us a detailed orientation of the area on a map and showed us to our room. The breakfast included was the best we had of all the places we stayed. For the price, it's a great value.
