When I first read some of the reviews about Fusina, I was a little worried as some of the reviews were pretty bad. My girlfriend and I decided to stay at Fusina this past Sun-Wed and were very happy with it. We flew into Teviso (Ryanair) and then took the ATVO Blue bus to the Mestre Rail Station. We then caught the #11 to Fusina. Be careful, cause we waited about about 40 minutes for the bus. I guess it runs about 1 time an hour. That was the only downfall. The bus drops you off at the front gate of Fusina. The staff when we checked in were extremely helpful in explaining the ferry to Venice(6.50 a trip, 10 euro return, or 20 euro for 3 days) The ferry leaves Fusina on the hour, and arrives at Venice (Zettere) 30 minutes later. It leaves Venice on the half hour. We also bought the water bus pass for 24 hours for 16 euros. This is good for all land and water buses, except the ferry to Fusina. We were never asked to show a bus or water bus ticket, so I'm sure you could get away with not even buying one. The last ferry back is kind of early (830pm, 630pm on Monday) so if you stay later on Venice, take the #2 bus to Mestre, then the #11 again. Its not a bad trip by bus either. Back to Fusina. We stayed in a twin-room, with no bathroom. It was very clean and neat. The toilets and showers were about a 30 second walk and were also spotless all the time. I think the cleaner stays outside and cleans after you use it because she was always there cleaning. The restaurant prices were reasonably but we were disappointed by the food. The pizzeria was awesome (6.00 euro for cheese pizza, 7.50 for topping) It is big and easily shared. The bar was pretty dead when we were there but the prices were fair. 3-4 euro for a pint, depending on if it was happy hour, 5 euro for a mixed drink. I can see how it can be a lot more fun in summer, but we had a good time. I definately recommend Camping Fusina if you are on a budget. Bear in mind, this is a CAMPGROUND!!! Not a 4-star hotel!!!

Great place but the location is a little remote - especially late at night when only one bus makes the trip to the campsite.
We were pleasantly surprised by camping. The campers we stayed in were brand new, spotless and right by the water! Downside was the location because the water taxi was quick but expensive, and the bus system was cheap but took an hour to get to venice.

Everything's just fine except echoe sound in cabins. If you have noisy neighbours and can't stand airplane sounds, you'll have hard time sleeping.

Location was as good as it could be considering the price near Venice.
