We had an amazing time, originally we were just going to spend three nights then go to Toronto. We liked it so much we stayed an additional three nights instead of going to Toronto.

No telephone, no common area. Small rooms and outrageous prices for what you get during peak times in Montreal. It was right downtown so if you have never been to Montreal and don't know how to get around this place is great. Other than that I would not stay there again.

Best feature is by far the location. There are all types of restaurants, shops, and bars within walking distance. Amazing service. On the first day we arrived, Jack told us a few history tidbits about Quebec and listed some tourist cites worth checking out. He was approachable and friendly enough that we didn't hesitate to call when we had other questions throughout our stay. Noise wasn’t an issue if you closed the window. Very clean room and washroom. Overall, great experience at the Hostel Inn.
