brilliant!!

The hostel was a little hard to get to in the off-season when the shuttle to SurfSide isn't running yet but otherwise it was a good place to stay, mainly because of it's vicinity to the great beach at SurfSide. The staff were also helpful - particularly Cindy who was also very personable.

This is the only cheap place to stay in Nantucket and has a great location on the beach. Its easy to get to by public transport and the staff are all really helpful

Ronn, the manager, was great. The place has improved drastically since our last stay several years ago. Definitely scope it out!

I really liked the area. There didn't really seem to be any security, but there also didn't seem to be a need for security. There were a surprising number of older people at this hostel. The location was directly across from the beach--nice place to go and sit in the evening. I heard rumors of a bonfire on the beach but was not invited to the event. The place seemed very clean. Be prepared to walk a lot, buy a shuttle pass, and use the occasional taxi. I fell in love with the place and didn't want to leave. I received the following directions to the Cisco Brewery from a driver of the shuttle: "Get off here. Walk to the left about a half a mile." The shuttles don't necessarily go everywhere you want to go at the times you want to go. It is also very dark at night with no streetlamps, so come prepared with a high strength flashlight if you plan on walking at night.
