I definitely get the vibe this is one of the best places to stay for young travelers in Puerto Escondido. Way close to the bus station, fairly close to the beaches, accommodations a step up from the average hostel, such as ensuites, hot water 24/7, and tv's (you pay a bit more than the average hostel, tho, I suppose), and a very relaxed, charming atmosphere full of kids from all over. check out the 'bioluminescent lagoon' if you can

Mayflower Hotel, it's staff and guests, made our trip the best ever. We will never forget the welcoming people in the legendary beautifull place, Puerto Escondido.

Overall, a good place to stay. I was very impressed with the decorations in the rooms and the impressive view of the bay from the third floor. If there was one thing that needed improvement, it was the water availability: I don't know if the problem was temporary or ongoing, but from one hour to the next, there would be no water in the bathrooms. It became an adventure finding out if you had water at the time you needed to shower or use the bathroom!
