This is a good hostel in a safe area with a friendly staff. It has access cards for your hostel and you also have lockers. Free internet and kitchen in the dorms. A wide variety of people somew older so if you want to get drunk and throw up on yourself go elsewhere, but still fun. Could clean romms better but not a huge problem. God hostel overall

pretty good location in Copacabana, but Ipanema is better for going out at night. 10 minutes walking from the beach, close to the metro and bus. more like renting an apartment than staying in a hostel. each ¨room¨is really a small apartment with ensuite bathroom and kitchen, which is nice but makes things less social. very spacious rooms, common space is lacking though. i heard from others that it wasn´t social at all before we got there. lots of people from the US. staff was very nice and very helpful!

It was ok, the staff were friendly and helped when you asked but it isn´t really the place to go to meet people and have fun, there wasn´t much goin on and everyone seemed to be doing their own thing. Clean, fairly safe and in an ok area, go here if you want a quiet time.

A great hostel and it is in a great location. Staff speak perfect english and are very helpful. It is not a party hostel though.

Big, white, and sterile. Can be an excellent place to meet people´- entirely depends on the people though. Clean, as long as you mention to the staff if you needed something changed. Best part is that its very close to the beach, close to a supermarket/ATM, and the staff is SUPER friendly. Leo´s one of the nicest, laidback, and most helpful staff members weve come across.
