The upstairs shower wasn't working for my entire stay so had to use the showers by the pool which was slightly annoying. Didn't find the staff particularly friendly and would say that the hostel is a bit over-rated compared to the raving reviews I had read about it. Had a great time in Rio though!

3 high bunkbeds are amazing!!! The bar closing at 10 is not.

Has potential to be a great hostel but is overated and over priced. The location is great, right by the beach and in a safe area but its a shame that the bar closes so early and the showers and water keep breaking. A completely over priced hostel!!

If your looking for a place to stay in Rio, you can do no better than I.B.H,right in the heart of Ipanema five mins from the beach. The staff and guest are friendly with so much helpful advice on local events, a decent free breakfast in the morning and the one of the highlights of my stay was Marco\'s Bar!!, open from 3pm daily with Bar-B-Q available on certain nights!, a great way to get to meet and know everyone. chill at the bar with a caparinha and enjoy the music and atmosphere you won\'t want to leave!

This hostel was really well located, has a pool, a bar, a package deal for the Carnaval, I really recommand it!
