We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed with a 'hello is that Denise' which was a pleasure after travelling for 23 hours. Whilst our host checked us in there was a chilled bottle of water out on the counter for us, he is a real sweetie ans in the morning took us up the road to catch a taxi with a map of our destination and a smile. A bit out of the central area but for one night in transit to the bus depot is was perfect.

i rated it average but is very good for nicaragua. oscar and his wife were so helpful and full of hints on how not to get ripped off by taxis and the boys at the bus terminal.

I thought Oscar and his wife provided wonderful service. We accually plan to go back to Elena Borgen next time we are in Managua. The room was comfortable. We didn't even need to turn on the air conditioning, because there was a nice breeze from the courtyard. Oscar helped us book air tickets to the Corn Islands and arrange taxis. He was so kind!!!

I felt as though the staff wasn't as helpful as I would of liked considering the unsafe area it is in. The rooms were more expensive than advertised on line and did not include airport transportation as stated. Overall I was disatisfied, mostly because of the staff.
