The cool, modern looking bathroom that appears in their photos is not for you... it's the guest bathroom by the reception. You get the grimey, coed bathrooms across from your dorm room. The bathrooms weren't terrible, they were just smelly, rusty and lacking in hooks for your clothes. There is no place to change or towel off as the shower doors are less than a half meter from the sinks (and only a couple of centimeters from them when open). The rooms were very dusty, the pillows were feathered and the duvets were too, not ideal for allergies. The luggage room is fairly small considering the size of the hostel and ends up containing a 1.5 meter tall x 3 meter deep pile of luggage by check in time (this leads to your stuff being buried or unflinchingly tossed about by other hostellers rooting for their luggage. The sheets that they gave you were crisp and clean (I didn't feel sqeamish not using my own hostel bundle), the location is almost on top of the train station (Roma Termini), the staff is very friendly and helpful, there is free internet (although only two computers for the whole hostel) and the price is reasonable. However, even with all of these 'plusses,' I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

I was quite surprised by this hostel. It was a little bit on the expensive side but once I got to my room I could see why. Very well presented. Plus' were the helpful staff. (Mario with all his charm!) Minus' were our room was just above the bar and VERY noisey!

We weren't overly impressed by this place. It should be noted that there is no lockers for bags, only for passports etc - so if you have valuables (Laptops etc) take a gamble in trusting your roommates or take them with you. Not ideal. Could do with a bit of a tidy up, a good clean and a lick of paint. Kitchen is pretty gross and ill equipped. Too expensive for whats offered. Friendly and helpful staff tho'.

I will just be honest because I think a person should know what they are getting into when they stay at this hostel. The bedroom are nothing special at all, actually they turned me off a lot, until I met my friendly roomates. The bathroom is the main problem. We had one working sink for out whole floor, about 25 people. There were two toilets, but you had to wait about 5 minutes between flushing them because they are really old and take a long time to fill back up with water. There were 3 showers for the floor, but they showers had no separate area (like showers in hostels usually do) where you can change or hang up your dry clothes, there is just a shower stall that opens to bathroom area, so keeping your clothes dry and not exposing yourself to everyone in the bathroom can be quite difficult. The bathroom situation isnt as bad, i geuss, if you are male, but if you are a girl its very difficult- not just the fact that its challenging not to expose yourself to everyone, but also in that there is no place to lay your makeup or toothbrush down (no counter or anything) while your trying to get ready to go out. Also the floor in the bathroom is always soaking wet. Anyways, my main problem was the bathroom, but if you are fine with that then this hostel is for you, the staff is great :) The owner speaks about 7 different languages and used to be a tour guide so he's a good person to talk to if want to know where to go in Rome.

Quiet but not clean and the showers have something going on that makes the water pressure irregular. But I just needed a place to sleep and it was fine for that.
