I'm a 23-year-old female and I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay at Kilronan Hostel. The hostel is RIGHT next to the pier -- you can't miss it. There's a pub under the hostel which is pretty convenient, and I didn't experience any noise problems (except perhaps the 830am ferry). The supermarket is less than a five minute walk away, and the hostel's kitchen/tv room/dining room are located in an adjacent building -- you can eat your breakfast on the patio and enjoy the view. thanks a million!the staff is extremely kind and efficient. anything you need and request is soon satisfied. very cheap prices(great for young travellers!), yet very good quality! gorgeous breakfast!the bar is the only place open till late on sat nite!

The hostel's very close to the dock, which makes it good for dropping off your stuff and going on a tour of the island. Huge DVD collection, breakfast is included. There's also a computer with internet, or wifi if you have your laptop.
