I stayed in the youth hostel back in 09 march 2007. It gave me a very homely feeling and not to forget the friendliness of the staff which gave me a unforgetable experience. Because of the wonderful experience that make me wanted to visit them again during my holidays. I would strongly recommended for those want to have a homely feeling stay, blend in with the local to stay with Chaing Mai International Youth Hostel. Trust me is truely value for money. Cheers

You get quite a lot for your money in this hostel - air con and tv in the room and hot water. Bliss. The only 'downside' is that it is about a 20 min walk to the action - but at least it is in a straight line!

location was very far from town centre, group tours recommended from hostel were dearer than most travel outlets from town

This place is immaculate and quiet. If you're looking for a place to be left alone in a comfortable, serene setting, this is it. It's NOT a party palace. It is a little out of the way, but for $0.60 you can get anywhere downtown. The staff is good if you need them, otherwise, they leave you alone. I'd definitely go back.
