The best Hostel in NY. People are serious and cold like average, but the rooms are clean and the location is great because you can go uptown or downton very fast. I was living in NY for two months and one in the Gershwin Hostel.

great location but many problems... the night I arrived they gabve the wrong room and at 3 am someone went into my room and told to move to another because I was using a bed that wasn't mine... you have to recharge your key two or three times a daY! also only one bathroom per bedroom... It's not always clean... the rooms are really small fr the number of beds... Anyway, the location is great, you can go everywhere walking, but if you want to meet people this is not the right place, there are no common areas, and wireless is 10 USD per day!!! also expensive for the qualit of the service... they don't have lockers in the rooms...
