I booked this hostel for 4 nights from June 8th to June 12th. However upon arrival I was told that our booking was only for 3 nights. This meant that we had to book into a motel for another causing us more expense. Also Hostelworld take a 10% booking fee, but seeing as our booking turned out to be for only 3 nights I was overcharged. I found this service very ubsatisfactory and I expect a refund of the overcharging to my credit card account for which you have the details.

Excellent time. Was booked for one night but decided to stay longer. Other places say they\'re right on the beach but this is the only one that\'s true. Beautiful place to wake up, to party in at night, to have as your base while traveling. L&L Hawaiian bbq nearby, Hooters, just a ride away to Ocean Beach for best fish tacos in the world. Miss that place already. Oh yeah and their staff is definitely laid back, cool, very helpful and friendly. Thank goodness for you guys.

Can't be beat for surfing and beachfront location. Really pretty dirty (and I'm no wuss), non-functioning pay lockers, and teeny tiny kitchen. Great parties. Go if you want to get drunk/surf. Don't go if you want to shower, sleep or cook. :)

"Banana Bungalow" turned out to be one of the best Hostels we stayed at on our round-the-world trip, if only because it was the most fun, with a great balcony for socialising, good bars within walking distance, and a great beach on it's doorstep. The keg parties organised by the staff were the best way of meeting new people. The dorms themselves were a bit subpar, but neither of us minded because you quickly got to know everyone you were staying with.
