The guy in here tried to tell me that the only way to see Gallipoli was to take their tour and tried to push the Troy tour as well. I found it quite offputting. Admitedly Troy is much easier to see on your own than Gallipoli. However, as long as your prepared for a reasonable walk then doing Gallipoli yourself is perfectly possible with the ferry to Ecebat and a dolmus to Kabatepe which costs 4.5 lira. You can also leave your stuff on in Ecebat at the bus company offices. I started walking at 9 and was done by 230 including lunch and had seen all the Anzac Cove and surtrounding areas as well as from Lone Pine up to the top of the hill. I really enjoyed walking the area and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys hiking. There is also a reasonable amount of signed information at the sites.

Kind of a bland hostel. Not that fun because not too many people are there, no real bar downstairs, etc. It had some character, but it was hard not to notice that it was run by a travel agency, which made you always question their suggestions on tours, buses, etc.

not bad. the location is perfect, but nobody cares what you do, the stuff ain`t trying to make you fun. IT was so weird that the latest time we allowed to come was 12 at night, although there are so many things to do at night in canakkale
