The Museum Guest House - Hostel
From the mail railway station Keleti pu (Eastern Railway Station):
Take the red metro line (M2) in direction to 'Déli pu' and get off at the second stop 'ASTORIA'. Take the exit 'Múzeum körút', on the left, and walk along it on the side of the East-West Business Center -a glass building where Burger King restaurant is located. Then go ahead two blocks and pass the National Museum and turn left at Baross utca -the corner between the two glass buildings. A little further the street splits into (1) Baross utca itself -on the right side- and (2) Reviczky utca -on the left side. Keep straight walking along Revisky utca until the end of the street -aprox. 150 metres- and then you will end in Mikszáth Kálmán tér (square). We are at number 4, on the 1st floor of the red bricks building. Press the bell number 3 and go upstairs one floor.

From Nyugati pu railway station (Western Reailway Station):
Take the blue Metro line (M3) in direction to 'Kõbánya-Kispest' and get off at the 4th stop 'Kálvin ter', then take the left exit 'Baross utca' and follow the instructions indicated above.

From the International Bus Station 'Népliget':
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Újpest-Központ' and get off at 'Kálvin tér'. Then take the left exit 'Baross utca' and follow the instructions indicated above.

From the Ferihegy Airport:
By taxi: This is the best way if you are two or more, but do not take the Tourist Taxi co.'s cars or any private taxi, they are very expensive. All you need to do is to order by phone a taxi at 2000000. They charge 3.500 Forint (aprox. 15 euros) per a trip to anywhere in the Pest side of the city. In Hungary it is customary to give a 10% tip to the taxi driver, but you are not obligad to do so if you do not wish. The taxi operators speak English. Tell them exactly in which terminal you are and where you will wait for the cab -normally outside- so that the driver will have not difficulty to find you. All the public taxis have printed in big characters their phone numbers on both sides of the doors, making it easier to recognize them.

By public transportation: If you want to go by public transportation you need to buy 2 tickets first (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop or inside the airport bus. Take the bus to the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest) -which is also the last stop of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before you board the metro. Get off at 'Kálvin tér' and take the exit 'Baross utca' and follow the instructions indicated above.
NOTE: The metro service runs from 04.30 to 23.10 hours every day.

By Airport Minibus: You can take the Airport Minibus -which is cheaper than a taxi if you are alone. The fee is 2.300 Forint per passanger.

WARNING! In Budapest you need to punch a new ticket every time you change metro lines, buses or trams, so risk of getting a fine. On the lines M2 and M3 the ticket is valid one hour if you travel in the same direction. On the M1 line the ticket is valid 30 minutes. A ticket cost 150 Forint (aprox. 0.60 euros).
