UniXtra - Hostel
Edinburgh is a fantastically easy place to walk around and enjoy. That said, the cobbled streets, narrow alleys and major hills do not make for an easy walk from the bus & train stations. We recommend you take a taxi, especially if you have heavy bags or there are a few of you. It's not expensive and you won't get lost.

We're at 24 Sciennes and Sciennes is pronounced "Sheens" in the Scots tongue. It's just off the south-east corner of the Meadows, a large leafy park in the middle of the city. Our postcode is EH9 1NJ if you want to use a web-directions service like multimap or the AA. (Please don't get confused with Sciennes Road, Sciennes Avenue or anything else - they're different places. It's just "Sciennes").

If you do want to walk (assuming from the bus or train station) then head away from Princes Street over North Bridge and keep going until you get to the Blockbuster video store (1 mile). At that junction turn right onto 100-metre long Hope Park Terrace. At the end by the traffic lights (on the corner by the Park) turn left into Summerhall. The fork you see ahead of you to the right is Sciennes. We're along there on the left at number 24.
