Abercorn House Hostel en Guangzhou, Inglaterra

Great location, 3mins walk to Hammersmith tube station, from which is 20-30mins to city centre. Room very small but clean, with fridge and ultra tiny bathroom. Overall, good only for a hot shower and a sleep after all day sightseeing in London (but, what else do you need?). We've been there for 7 nights. NO FREE INTERNET. NO BREAKFAST. The rooms are clean and showers are hot, and it is well located to get around the city. But if you have ANY problems with your booking do not expect them to give you any kind of money back and to change their policies around to avoid a refund. Also the room walls are so thin that you will EVERYTHING that goes on in your neighbors room.

Thank you for the comment. We've been very flexible with our customers and always happy to accommodate our customers needs and requests. We understand that plans and circumstances change, that's why we let our customers arrive 1 day late or stay 2 nights instead of booked 8 nights - and this is a normal practice for us. We give a refund with no extra charges or cancellation fees in order to keep our customers happy. We just have 1 little condition, we require 1 day notice from our customers, so we can shorten the length of nights they're supposed to stay and give a refund with no extra charges. Being very flexible with our customers, we expect our customers give us 1 day notice in advance or let us know at the time of check-in or at least mention about any forthcoming changes to their bookings, and certainly not the situation when customers turn up at the Reception in the morning with the room keys for an immediate check-out and full refund. We believe that our 1 day notice policy is a normal procedure and not different to any other policies. Thank you for your understanding.

Because the rooms and especially doors were so poor that i almost felt like it was open eventhough it was closed. Also i might have been there at the wrong time, because there was construction work going on right next to my room. Magnus, from Norway ~ 6th May 2012

The hostel is being renovated at the moment, so expect hammering starting from 8.30 a.m. on weekdays. The first floor is already renovated and the rooms as well as the bathrooms are friendly,clean and modern. The room are equipped with fridge and cutlery, but there are no tables, neither in the kitchen. So you need to go down to the common room if you want to eat sitting. The price is unbeatable for what you get but I assume it will go up as soon as the renovation is completed. Magdalena, from Austria ~ 9th May 2012
