Bedbug infestation in room 123 reported 2008-08-10. Parking available. Bus 66 to Harvard Square. No host available on site much of the time. Three-day stay required if reserve Saturday stay. Although web site promises wireless internet, this is not actually available on site, but free wi-fi in cafe two blocks away..

I've been travelling a lot and I've seen my share of dubious and dirty places - however, I've never been so sure of a place being actually health-endangering for anybody even considering to sleep there. We simply left the premises after having looked at a number of different rooms - all smelling of 100-year old dust, bedbugs and dead rats... Do not go there! Go somewhere else. The health department of Boston should really consider closing this place down as certified for human lodging.

We liked it a lot. The kitchen in the room was super, for such a low price. I think they should paint the outside of the house to make it look better

Suburban, but still local bars/restaurant. Fine for a one-night stop-over. $8 taxi to Cambridge

My first impression was great, but i left with a rash and brought bed bugs home with me. Be careful about the Farrington.....

The water temperature in the shower was difficult to tune in... or actually it was impossible. Really cold or very hot - make your pick. The staff was superb though.

The people were extremely nice! And helpful! The only complaint was that it was like, 90 degrees out and all the windows in the room were closed and it was hard to breathe in there! (But there was a fan - Thanks!) Would stay there again. Great location - not far from the T. Could walk to the Paradise.

this hostel was safe and convenient to get in and out of town. My room and bathroom was clean. rooms a little stuffy could do with fans. If traveling alone and looking to meet fellow travelers not the best. No communal area.

Affordable accomodation not too far from the center and highways. Interesting area, lots of cheap eateries (asian, even burmese and nepali, latino). Clean and safe enough for anyone who travelled a bit or doesn't expect too much for 30 buck a night.
