The owner of this hostel strives to constantly improve this hostel. And it shows. This is perhaps one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in: free Wi-Fi, free overseas long distance calls (really), hotel-quality bathrooms and a living room worthy of MTV's "The Real World." I think this is by far the best hostel in NZ. The manager is great and has really thought of everything to make a traveler's stay more enjoyable and hassle-free. There are big, lively common areas and a spacious kitchen with good cooking supplies. The bathroom/shower facilities are very nice and clean as well. The location is great for walking around the lively part of Queenstown with all of the restaurants and shops right by the lake, but this means that it does get a bit noisy at night. We loved our stay at Adventure Queenstown Hostel & Chalet in Queenstown. We stayed in the dorms and theyhad a nice balcony, clean sheets, comfy beds, night lamp. the atmosphere there was the best experienced so far, everyone is so friendly and the staff provide an excellent service! The rest of the facillities were great too, with a well equipped kitchen, nice lounge room and great toilet facillities.Will definetely recommend them to everyone going to queenstown! camilla Nelly, from Denmark ~ 6th Jan 2012

This is a backpacker's dream. What a great hostel! Definite recommendation. It surpassed all expectations. Great staff, terrific location, brilliant atmosphere. International phone calls and internet for free. What more could you ask for?? Oh perhaps delicous budget meals? I had the burger of my life at this hostel for a couple of dollars.
