Alfama Patio Hostel en Lisbon, Portugal

Definitely it's a great hostel. The best option to be in Lisbon. It's located in the heart of the city (Praça do Comércio is very close) but sometimes it can be like a labyrinth. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect if you want to be in Alfama. The only downside is the bathrooms - very small, especially the showers. I know this is Alfama, and to be expected (and a common problem in most hostels, to be fair), but there are some design decisions that could have made the showers more tolerable. This hostel is awesome, cozy, comfortable and clean! I came with four girlfriends for weekend, and we stayed in a dorm with one other girl. Even though, we didn't spend much time in the hostel, it seemed like a great place to meet people. The staff was amazing, very very kind and always helpful. Also the location was really nice, cute little street with a tram car! I don't think I can complain at all, and am really glad I booked this hostel! Andrea, from USA ~ 22nd Mar 2009

This is an amazing hostel. The people are extremely friendly and kind and provide you with all sorts of suggestions with what to do in Lisbon during the day.
