If you want to be just in walking distance to the Rialto Bridge this is the spot you want to be. Nice restaurants just below your windows. When you like the central location you will also have to live with noises late in the evening, but then you should really be walking around somewhere else than being in bed. Extremely cold male staff on check-in day has absolutely no idea initially about my bookings though it was in the small physical notepad used to record bookings & kept insisting that check-in is at 3PM as they need to clean the rooms when it was not stated on the website. I would consider staying on the mainland and then taking the bus into the city.This place smelled like a bathroom of a truck stop in Texas heat.The front door wouldn't close properly so it was always open.The bathroom had hairs all over the place.They had some kind of bug, and mosquitoes, that feasted on me all night.Went from initially going to stay for three nights to one night.I couldn't get out of there fast enough.Take some OFF with you and don't going when the locals are having trash Jeff, from USA ~ 22nd Aug 2011

We enjoyed our stay at La Pescheria, great location and very funny and friendly staff. The breakfast was poor tough. We needed a second breakfast since it was nothing and tasted shit. The hostel was very clean, the staff very nice, a great location (Venice is little but very confussed) breakfast is included. I felt more as if I were staying in the house of someone than a hostel. Just the entrance is a little weird.. but inside is nice :) Myriam, from Mexico ~ 16th Jul 2011

The hostel was at a great location with WIFI. Unfortunately, they were having troubles with the WIFI - the company was - so it wasn't the hostel's fault at all.
