Best Hostel ever! Clean, in a nice area of Shanghai. But what really makes this place unique is the owner, Xiao. She is the nicest person you can meet in whole China. She helps you with tickets, orders food if you are not sure what to eat, teaches you Chinese card games and you can have some of the best discussion ever, if you take the time to get to know her better.
So, thanks Xiao, for everything. I'll come back!

Xiao is awesome. She is super friendly, helpful with foreign travelers because she speaks Chinese, French and English! She also keeps the place very clean! One needs to take a short cab ride to get there from the Shanghai train station. The location is relatively at the city center but it is not as close to a current subway station as I would have preferred. However, it is within walking distance to Nanjing Lu if you are willing to walk a little bit.

BPHS was in fact much more a HOME than a hostel. It`s so cozy there. You get helped with any problem. Any place in Shanghai can be reached by bus or metro easily. I strongly reccommend that hostel!!!

I've stayed the mixed room. It's perfect! Large window for a great view of Shanghai. Some little plants inside the apartment, very pleasant. Super clean everywhere. The staff is very helpful and french speaking. The breakfast is just like what i had at home, it' by ordered. I also had vegetarian noodle in Jade Buddha temple, just 2 minutes to be there. I had great time!!
