Dirty and dirty cheap. Backpackers from hell and hardcore travellers dwell in the cage-like rooms and share the corridors with rats from the gutter of KL. I liked it. Next time I will pay few extra bucks for an AC room. After all not a bad place, for the rates they have there is not much room for complaining. My only advice to the managment: put a lid on the trash bin opposite the toilet, so the rats won't pay a visit every given night. Cristiano, from Italy ~ 15th Feb 2012

Everything was good, till the moment we checked out and asked for the deposit back from the locker. Then, they told me that I was not getting the whole amount, but the deposit minus the rent per day used. But the thing is that when I asked for them, they said it was for free, and the deposit was required because of the key, but that we would get the deposit back if we turn back the key plus the receipt they gave us. I don´t mind about the money (RM2) but about feeling fooled by the managers

I went to the luxury room, it is not really luxury... It is very small and old, however it is clean, the staff and the location are good. For 18 USD it is OK but not excellent. Josefina, from Chile ~ 8th Dec 2011

Great place to stay for a few nights. Really easy to get to and find from the train. The rooftop bar is a great place to chill. Transport to other places is easy. Great breakfast spot on the roof. Everything else about the hostel is pretty standard. Megan, from Canada ~ 21st Nov 2011

the EnSuite room i stayed was simple and clean. not sure about the dorm. bathroom was clean. ideal for a budget short stay. for the price i paid, really nothing to complain except a little noisy at midnight and in the morning as very near to market area. GREAT LOCATION as everything within walking distance. For those who complaints a lot, why not try HILTON instead? LOL... will definitely go back next time and recommend to other EASY GOING backpackers like myself =) P/s: ROOFTOP BAR... bravo =) kah seng, from Malaysia ~ 3rd Nov 2011

We had a double-bed room for 3 nights and have no complaints about the hostel. The room was relatively clean, no bed bugs as mentioned in some reviews. The showers are all right as well, there is warm water and the water pressure is strong. The hostel has the perfect location, 1 minute away from Petaling street. We could basically walk everywhere in the city - oterwise there are two monorail stops nearby. We spent most of our time in the city, so just for sleeping there, Bacpackers Inn was a go Gergely, from Hungary ~ 17th Oct 2011

When I arrived the room wasn't cleaned. At all. Used tissues. Empty soda cans. Used sheets. I was so tired from my trip that I had to tidy up myself. Other than that, the shared bathroom was kept quite clean. The location is awesome: walking distance to great food places. Right next door to the petaling street market. A cheap and simple place, good for a short stay. The staff was helpfull, though, and the place is conviniently located in the middle of China Town. Mikael, from Sweden ~ 1st Aug 2011

Definitely a perfect place for backpakers! Unbelievable rates like the dorm where I stayed at. Very accessible to places like Merdeka, China Town, Central Market, Pasar Seni Station that takes you to KL Sentral and Petronas Towers in no time, and Mahara Jalela Station-Monorail (I hope I remembered the name correctly) that takes you to Bukit Bintang in one stop. I will surely recommend this hostel to my friends. Chito Nicko, from Philippines ~ 8th Jul 2011
