The elevators took forever. I waited 30 minutes for an elevator one morning, and we couldn't use the stairs because they were for the emergency exit only. Also, there were 5 of us in my group and when we got there they put us in a room with only 4 beds available. We were able to move to a different room, but it was still frustrating.

Great location, the staff was pretty helpfull, like anywhere some more than others. Good kitchen & lounge areas. I would stay there again.

In good location in the city centre yet with all the lights outside they don't put any curtains on the windows so you can't sleep. Cleanliness was average, many of the bathrooms were dirty with broken taps and soap dispensers. You have to use the lifts to get from your room to kitchen and reception which takes ages even if your only 1 floor above, they don't allow you to use the stairs.

A lovely clean hostel right in the heart of Auckland. Only problem, some of the rooms don't have any natural light which means you end up sleeping till 2.00pm everyday!!

The location was great for being in downtown! It was a great place to meet people from all over, like our mate Jents from Germany and have a beer with a few Kiwis. The leaks in the bathroom were more of an inconvenience since there were two leaks and only one had a bucket underneath. You needed to wear shoes to go to the bathroom even at 2 AM. The travel staff were excellent at providing tips and companies and places to find maps. It was a little loud so the description of it being like a univer
