I have stayed in more hostels than I can count and this one ranks amongst the top three without a doubt! The relaxed atmosphere mixed with the wonderful staff but everyone at ease immediatley. I reccomend this hostel to any and all visiting Edinburgh!!!

We booked this hostel after reading the reviews on this site and were not let down. It really is special; Like staying in someone's house. The small number of people means that you never feel overcrowded and the place is not impersonal at all. Steve sat us down when we arrived and despite being super busy, gave us a complete run down of the best spots in the city. There's no lockers but the small number of people with access to each bedroom provides some reassurance. If you can book it, then do

This is a nice place which is very conveniently located near the bus station. Also they provided a nice continental breakfast. It's also got a small family-like atmosphere.

My friend and I had a fantastic weekend in Edinburgh. The hostel was very familiar and we met many great people we hope to stay in contact. Steven, the hostel owner showed us the best pubs in the city and had many good advices where we can go those two days and what we have to see in Edinburgh. So if we visit Edinburgh again we would book this hostel again.

Perfect place to stay. Great location, small hostel in this case meant more space in my dorm. More like a house than a hostel! Owner sits down with you and personally helps you through your stay in the hostel and the city. Great breakfast as well.

It felt like a home more than a hostel - there were only a few rooms and everyone hung out in the living room/kitchen area where there was a plasma TV and free breakfast items and juice available all day. The location was excellent - a couple blocks from the bus station and within walking distance of all the major sites. The staff was also very knowledgable and friendly.
