El hostel estaba muy bien situado pero si lo que buscas es un buen descanso no es el lugar más indicado, las camas estan fatal (se notan todos los muelles) y abajo hay un bar lo cual no seria ningun problema sino fuera poque cuando estas en la habitacion (sobretodo del primer piso)es como si estuvieras en el mismo bar. I stayed at the Cambie Hostel for 2 nights. The noise wasn't that bad but the smell of deep-frying fat in the room, the fact that it hasn't been cleaned for a long time (very dusty, hair on the sheets, dirty shower/sinks, broken tiles in the women's bathroom!!!, broken shower). The staff was friendly and the "breakfast" was okay (we just tried the muffins). All in all less than average, but good if you need a place to sleep after beeing down town - 25$/night is too much for the cleanliness! Julietta, from Germany ~ 23rd Nov 2009

The worst hostel of my holidays in Canada, and I saw a lot of them... no lockers in room, the beds are very old and made up with cheap materials, the shared bathroom is really bad ( too small, very poor furniture ecc.). The pub downstairs was quiet noisy, and the garbage collection next to the hostel operates daily from 5 am onward, which also made a lot of noise. Winnie, from China ~ 5th Jul 2009

We stayed here last year and loved it... except for the noise... This year was a different story. The guy at the front desk was rude, unfriendly, and had no personality. You can tell he loves his job. There was no soap in the women's washroom..... not a big deal BUT when we came back to stay again days later there was STILL no soap. Luana, from Canada ~ 20th Jul 2009
