Be prepared to pay for everything!Watch out for the Sabbath check in times as well. They will find any reason to ask for more money. Not an organized check in system. Staff is very hot-or-miss, sometimes they are nice and others they just don't care.

The only real complaint I have is that there was only one bathroom for a 14 person dorm. However, everything else was good and there is a good kitchen and common area.

A nice and homy place in a big city. Lots of choices of rooms. Has all it needs. And a new terrace on the back!! Good work. Annette, from Germany ~ 31st Mar 2012

Our stay at the hostel was the beginning of a 4 month stay in Tel Aviv and we had a great week! The family really wants to help you with all your problems and question. The location is really good, 3 min walk to the beach and there are some really good restaurants nearby. I would really recommend this hostel. Aalbert, from Netherlands ~ 29th Feb 2012

I arrived in Tel Aviv late at night but was able to settle into the Hostel no problems. The atmosphere is great, everyone talks to everyone and sharing happens naturally. I met lovely people to continue my travels with, and the staff were more than willing to provide recommendations for things to do and places to go. I ended up staying extra nights, and will be planning to visit again. It's a tiny place, and most enjoyable when you stay multiple nights. The beds and linens are also new and great Rebecca, from Netherlands ~ 26th Feb 2012

I was really enjoyed staying at this place. Actually it was really first time that I staying at hostel and I was bit scared what is waiting me there. And I've found that Roy and his family did their best to make this place friendly, comfortable and pleasant. Clear rooms and bathrooms, cool hall and kitchen, nice backyard outside and very exact instructions by Roy where to go, what to eat and who to f .... "to friend" I mean. I strongly recommend to stay at Chef hostel if you want to h Mikhail, from Russia ~ 21st Dec 2011

It is a very nice hotel, the only thing that I would like to change is to have separate bathroom for male and female.
