One of the best hostels I have stayed at in China! The free night bike safari and dumpling party were awesome. Room was clean, shower was hot. The staff was the best I have ever seen, they hung out with the residents. Great environment, pool table in the middle of the lobby, and lots of DVDs to watch. Western food on the menu is average, the pizza is not like America. Read Owner Comments Kevin, from USA ~ 15th May 2012

I love this place! The staff was helpful and SO talkative. The food was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and anything I needed was available. One of my new favorite places to stay! Read Owner Comments Taylor, from USA ~ 23rd Mar 2012

Lazybones was okay for one night, there's a common room/bar where we spent a lot of time because the room was cold and not really comfy, since it looked a bit dark and shabby and there was no wi-fi in the room available. The staff is friendly and helpful. We booked a tour to the Pandas which was well-organised but a bit too rushy. The location of the hostel is good though, directly in the city center and in walking distance of all the important sights. Read Owner Comments Sabrina, from Germany ~ 14th Mar 2012

Arrived at 5.30am and was warmly welcomed (even though I had woken the staff member), I didn't want to disturb others in my room so I said I would use the internet in the lounge - I was then offered a duvet and promptly fell asleep until a more reasonable time to find my bed! Great start. I joined in the dumpling party which was great fun and a nice way to meet people - our dumplings weren't bad either haha! The hostel is located just across the road from a metro stop which is extremely handy Read Owner Comments Kelly, from Scotland ~ 11th Feb 2012

Brilliant Hostel very close to the metro which makes getting around very convenient. Staff were extremely helpful in helping us book train tickets, cancelling old ones and advising on a trip to jiuzhaigou national park. Thanks. Read Owner Comments Oliver, from England ~ 3rd Dec 2011

The hostel facilitates a few trips and classes e.g. panda centre tour, transport and volunteer days, trips to Lhasa/Tibetan border, Sichuan cookery class, evening cycle tour, etc. The prices were fairly reasonable booking through the hostel. They will also help book trains. It was mostly quiet and clean. The beds had electric blankets and there was plenty of space. An ideal stop-off for the budget-conscious but comfort-loving traveller wanting to spend a few days seeing Chengdu or Tibetan area. Read Owner Comments Charlotte, from England ~ 17th Nov 2011

A good hostel that I would always recommend to my friends. Our double bedroom was clean and not too expensive compared to what we paid in other Chinese cities. Only problem: The bathroom always had a strange smell about it... The common chillout-area is very cosy and my girlfriend was fascinated by the two cute cats. The pool table is crappy, though... Haven't tried the food, but they offer a huge variety of Chinese and Western dishes. The organized trip to the Sichuan Opera was pretty good. Read Owner Comments Georg, from Germany ~ 8th Nov 2011

I had a great time in the Lazybones Hostel. The rooms are nice and they have a very cosy common room . Overall just a place where you feel at home immediately. Verena, from Germany ~ 12th Sep 2011
