I can't recommend Sam's unfortunately. The room is tired, the shower curtain is 10 times tooooo long and the management don't seem to notice it, no new toilet paper in room every day. The room was just very tired. Read Owner Comments Peter, from Canada ~ 29th Apr 2012

Was very well taken care of by the staff, as they were able to help me with so many of my questions and requests. A great place for first time visitors to Chengdu, and I would definitely stay there again if I have the chance. Chris, from USA ~ 21st Jan 2012

An excellent hostel - great location near the main square and subway. Excellent staff whose English is excellent and they are veryhelpful and can offer great advice and service to help you arrange trips and tickets. Angie and Terry were very helpful in arranging my trip to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong and Songpan. Not really a common area - but the hotel which is part of it was really good. Food in the restaurant was also excellent. Everything you want from a great hostel - recommended highly Ian, from England ~ 6th Nov 2011
