130$ for two nights in a little but cute double bed private room with a shared bathroom, soo nice. For all bad comments, I want to say, 1) that the cheapest hoster in new york I saw in my search and that not so bad. 2) The location is perfect 3)For the 2 days, we were not disturbed during the night (compared to other youth hostel...) 4)Even if the clearnest of the bathroom is average, I'm very satisfied !!! We traveled with my boyfriend and we chose a room that we should only share a bathroom, although, we did not expect a luxury room, not what we expected what we found, a room that smelled horrible, with the tubing at a glance. The bathroom is quite old and covered with nothing, as we realized in our 5 days of lodging. In addition, the service staff is terrible. Staff was helpfull and very kind. Very good location. Unfortunately not the cleanest and modest place, but with a lot of efforts to keep it up. Good place to stay for the price paid. This was our very first time staying in a hostel. For those who complain about this hostel on this site, maybe they were expecting a hotel. But if you just expect that you will be going into a tiny room every night, and sleeping on a clean bed, this hostel is perfect. We're from the midwest, and we found this neighborhood to be VERY safe to walk to every night. Our room-mates were quiet and respectful. Bed was made every day. Me and my girlfriend are not very picky. But I would not recommend the room that we got. We had a double room with private toilet. The room smelled with wall-mashrooms. It was impossible to get rid of this even after extensive ventilation. Also the toilet unbelivable - it had carpet everywhere, even next to the stool. So it could not be properly cleaned. The floor was constantly wet. The stuff was quite helpful though. It was not a problem to receive a package from Amazon to the hostel. Marcin, from Poland ~ 6th Sep 2009
