I had a great time here. Danny and Oliver are always happy to help everyone out and give tips on where to go etc. I'd stay here again.

Clarence Castle is one of the best hostels we have stayed in! The front overlooks a beautiful park and the CN Tower towers above.
Rooms are excellent -beds very comfortable. Great common room lounge area with two huge couches and a massive LCD TV. Kitchen and bathrooms lovely - very clean.
We had a great time. Danny went out of his way to welcome us and whenever we needed assistance. Free internet and brekkie too.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. The owners are great guys, helpful and nice, the facilities are clean and new, the bathrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location can't be beat. If you want a clean, safe, quiet place to stay - this place is perfect.

This hostel is in a very nice area of the city with great views of the CN tower. It's about a minute walk from the streetcar system, so you can get around easily. The big negative with this place was that it wasn't very much fun when it came to socializing or partying. The only thing that saved it from being horribly boring was the Global Village hostel across the street (which has a very lively nightlife). My suggestion is to use this place for sleeping (as it is very clean and the Village isn'
But at the same time I never thought to asked the very helpful staff anything interesting to do while I was in Toronto. All I did was watch TV 4 days straight while the same anti-social people who i shared te hostel with rated The Clarence Castle nearly a 100 percent. Look, in all seriousness, if you are just looking for a place to get drunk. we not only suggest that you go across the street to do so , we also recommend that you stay their! But if you are looking to experience Toronto for the world class city that it is, or just put your feet up after a long week of travelling, we are DEFINITELY the place for you!!
