I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a small hostel, more like a house, which means you feel and get treated like family. The best thing about the place is Carlos who works there. He is a legend! Hes like a personal tour guide for the week, showed me around he knows everything about Dallas as he has live there his whole life. Public transport inst great anywhere in Dallas, but Carlos took me wherever I needed to go and picked me up at 3am when I was drunk in town. A very good hostel to stay :-) Francis, from England ~ 1st Jun 2012

I can't understand how a real backpacker in Dallas could complain about this hostel! Carlos and Ivan like what the do and always have the little word to help you. Un big Plus. Quiet, clean, wellfurnished, everything here is free. Basket place in the garden. Less than 30minutes by train to Fort Worth, Dallas and the airport, hard to have a best location! when I came in I thought 'what is this?!' because it looked a little empty but I ended up having a good time and met some fun people here. The place is pretty clean and has good facilities. The location is pretty far from downtown Dallas and Fort Worth. Hugo, from Netherlands ~ 11th Jan 2012

I liked the whole "sharing a house" idea with a big common area/kitchen in the center, free use of washer and dryer, 5-10min walk to the train that takes you to both Dallas and Fort Worth (short trips), 15min walk to big grocery store and the host, Ivan, is great! Good WiFi too. Def. not a youth hostel though, for a couple of nights I was the only girl, several of the guys were 50+ (and basically homeless). Didn't enjoy that part. It was a little cold in my dorm at night, too. Jessica, from Sweden ~ 21st Oct 2011

Carlos has a great thing going on here. He is extremely helpful with directions, info on activities in the area, and info on the best places to visit in the area. He does a great job of making you feel comfortable at this home away from home. Brian, from USA ~ 2nd Oct 2011

1. Disappointed the absolutely no recycling is done at the guesthouse. 2. Payment is cash only. 3. Shower curtain liner very slimey/black color at bottom. 4. However, Carlos was extremely helpful in giving directions & interesting things to see/visit. Read Owner Comments Tim, from USA ~ 13th Sep 2011

This is an awesome place, and you can be sure any negative review is intentionally destructive as there are a million glowing recommendations here left by previous travelers as well as every one I stayed with personally. The host is excellent and a genuinely good man the service and vibe can't be beat. This is where you want to stay. Noah, from USA ~ 12th Sep 2011
