Staff is very bad, they do not contribute in anything, they do not help in anything, even when the say they wil... you can not count on their word. they do not acept credits cards, and they do not give you an invoice for your expences!!!! even when you ask for your invoice they dont give you anything!!!! Disastrous.I was assured my room was quiet - this was a lie. At 20.00, a DJ set up his equipment 2m from the door of my room and played very loud music until 01.00. The staff knew this event was going to happen. There was no escape from noise because the sitting area suffered from two televisions and loud music played continuously. This is a really cool hostel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, met some really cool people, and had alot of fun. Cartagena is terrific, and El Viajero helped. The area is safe and really nice. I would only add that I wish the staff were a bit friendlier as a whole, but everything was taken care of like clockwork, so I can't complain. Eric, from USA ~ 16th Feb 2012

Good location inside the wall.Walking distance to clubs, supermarkets and to local beach(kinda brown though)Have many nightly social activities. Can book travel tours through front desk. I bought a trip to Rosarias Islands and Playa Blanca at the hostel. That trip was awful. The driver most of the time sailed way too fast. If you hadn't problems with your back before, you surely would have it after that drive. He spoke and spoke and didn't listen at all, though I am able to speak some Spanish. I had to go to the bathroom, when we got to the Rosarias. While I was there, he just sailed away, so I didn't had the opportunety to see the corals there, who are said to be the best.
