Los baños sólo se limpiaron una vez al día. Era muy deficiente la limpieza. Gonzalo Federico, from Argentina ~ 16th May 2012

staff was helpful, patient, and nice. Beds were clean, room was big, and i appreciated that although there was 8 beds in the room i stayed in there were at most 2 other people with me at the same time, the staff didn´t try to cram everyone in one room. Having Uruguay as my first stop from the United States, I appreciated the friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you it was much needed, Rochelle, U.S.A Read Owner Comments Rochelle, from USA ~ 27th Mar 2012

Location is good it is close to Plaza de Independencia which is basically what you can see in Montevideo. Not so close to the beaches. Neighborhood doesn't feel completely safe, but I guess it is just like any other neighborhood near downtown.Staff is great! They help us and explained us how to get to the places we wanted to go.It seems weird that you have to buy all beer in the hostel, you CAN'T bring your own drink.I have stayed in a lot of hostels, and this is the first time they i seethis Angel Yessua, from Mexico ~ 19th Sep 2011

I spent just one night there and it was enough to love it. All the crew were lovely and funny, it was the first place that i went where all the staff spoken Portuguese and i want to left a big hog to everybody there, mainly to rick and to the chick at the bar, i have learnt a lot of Spanish slang with them and i had a lot of fun there. I intend to go back there at summer. joao, from Brazil ~ 30th Jul 2011

I arrived pretty late at night, was supposed to arrive at around 2pm.They kept my room for me which I appreciated. The hostel was very nice, clean, and comfortable!I got to meet 3 new friends that were staying in the room with me, and we went to Argentina together. It was pretty cold in Montevideo, but the rooms had their own heater, and you could not tell it was cold outside. The staff was very friendly, helpful.Overall, if I go back to Montevideo, I would stay here without a question again!Salu John, from USA ~ 30th Jul 2011

Hello we are newly weds and traveling around South America on our honeymoon. We stayed in the El Viajero Hostel in Uruguay and booked a suite in a double private room with bathroom on our trip through south America. We stayed for one night and found the hostel to be clean with a comfortable bed, very hot water for showers and very helpful staff who were very kind to help us with booking our baot trip to Buenes Aires. The breakfast was also very nice. Thankyou Bride & Groom Katerin Read Owner Comments Barnabas, from England ~ 5th Jul 2011
