The view from the roof is amazing! Breakfast also very good. The Hostel is located quite far from the downtown, but there's the bus No. 14 that' ll take you there. Good price. Cool people, I felt safe there. Mariana, from Slovakia ~ 4th Sep 2009

This place blew hard. I asked around...about half of the toilets didn't work. The shower was hot about half the times I used it. The staff was not overtly rude, but completely useless. Hostel breakfasts are always bad, but I've eaten fresher pasteries out of dumpsters, and the coffee was aweful. The sink in the bathroom was clogged with green peas and something else half the time I was there. The "common area" was worthless. The computers didn't work, and they did nothing to fix them. It was decent but they do not have a good common room area at all, and they do not have a kitchen. It is merely a microwave. I'd stay there again however as it was a descent play at a reasonable price. Their roof top restaurant was outstanding - truly. John, from USA ~ 21st Aug 2009

Yes, of course it isn't the Hilton. It's a hostel. I got very good sleep for a Sunday night, and didn't even end up sleeping there Monday, but it was great to have a base camp. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm with two other very nice gentleman. Didn't even need to lock stuff up. The wooden security drawers are small, dirty, and easily broken, really a joke. If it is valuable leave it at the front desk. Certainly I would come back here anytime I was doing a casual SF trip. Therron, from USA ~ 24th Jul 2009

Nice, friendly staff. 3 blocks away from BART (the metro). No kitchen though and EXTREMELY loud music every weekend. Cecilie, from Denmark ~ 25th Jun 2009

The bars on the main and top floor i found to be expensive. The view from the roof is specatular. The surrounding neighborhood is a little scary both at night and durring the day. I also found that getting to and from the hostel could be difficult and took cabs most of the time. melody, from Canada ~ 2nd Jun 2009
