They upgraded me & my bf to our own room... we thought we would be in separate dorms... however, the bar & lounge area were dead... the toilets were a disgrace.. we had to ask for loo roll, the loo smelled, the seat didnt fit properly, the shower was cold, it was right next to the loo so the seat was always wet, the tap didnt work properly, it was not far from the beach but cocks clucked at 5am... dudes chopping wood at 5am..

Thank you for your comments, and no need to thank us for the free upgrade to private accommodation which saved you about P6000. My staff and I are amazed how out of the 15000 guests which stay with us each year there is always that 00000.1% you can never keep happy. I personally looked at your room, hope you enjoyed the free wifi, cable tv, queen bed, ensuite, private veraandah etc at no cost. there was nothing wrong with your room, toilet paper is placed in all rooms every day, even the backpackers and if you use all there is plenty available free from reception, I checked the tap it works the Philippines has very low water pressure about 6psi most days, maybe thats your complaint, chickens are found through out the philippines its asia, if you dont like chickens dont come to the philippines, thay are a national treasure here. I encourage constructive critisim thats how we maintain such a high level of customer satisfaction. In future if you want to make a ligitimate complaint I suggest you do it while you are actually at the hotel. and Im sure any problem can be rectified there and then. we are also confused if my hotel is so bad why did you stay I am always happy to refund a guests money if they are not happy. we have thousands of happy guests im very sorry you are in the minority of guests that can not be satisfied under any circumstances. Great people at Frendz, the staff and guests included! The bathroom was the only drawback (the toilet didn't flush well and there was no hot water) which is typical of hostels in the Philippines. Other than that, we had a great time! Deondra, from USA ~ 8th Jan 2009
