I gave cleanliness very poor because of BED BUGS I had a bad experience with their beds. They offered me an old wood bed stuffed with bed bugs.. one of them was in the size of a dime. I talked to the guy there and he offered me a new bed (metal) it was good, but I spend most of time cleaning my clothes from bugs.. I donno why people are giving this place five stars??? There is no A/C.... Very Hot in summer... Good place... subway is near and bathrooms are clean... IF you wanna go , DO NOT Ahmed, from Iraq ~ 2nd Jun 2012

I`m so glad I went to Friend Street Hostel! I had a great time, met nice people, enjoyed the perfect conditions... and the location - oh, the location is awesome! I`m really happy with the staff - smiling, positive, kind guys that made my stay even better! Gave me good directions and hints and helped me have a lovely stay! THANK YOU, GUYS! One of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed in. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The proximity to North Station and tourist sites is super-convenient. The overall atmosphere was really friendly and I actually loved the no-alcohol policymuch calmer nights that way. And free breakfast! Cons are that the beds aren't great, rooms are two steep staircases up from ground level, and a fair amount of street noise due to TD Garden a block away. I'd definitely stay again!
