Friendly Fun Franks Backpackers Hostel en Palermo, Latvia

If you travel with your friends for a fun weekend i would really recommend this hostel! The location is perfect, close to everything, and it is very cheap. We were three girls staying there for a weekend in a three bed private ensuite room. When we arrived the room was extremely cold, and the heater didn\'t work. We asked the reception if they could help us. Nothing happened, but when we asked againg, we got TWO heaters in our room, and the room was nice and warm for the rest of the weekend :) Maren, from Norway ~ 18th Oct 2011

It actually >is< clean, friendly and secure, with quiet rooms, impeccably white showers and a nice tall gentleman wearing a black suit that keeps the thugs away :) The food's the regular hostel-type 'continental breakfast', but that's what get pretty much everywhere (except perhaps the San Francisco Green Tortoise, my favourite so far :) Overall score by me: 10/10 michal, from Poland ~ 27th Aug 2011

If you're going to Riga to party, Frank's is an excellent choice. Has its own bar and a really rowdy crowd of young people - a real lad's hostel.But I'm 33 and appreciate clean and pleasant-smelling rooms, which I did not find at Frank's.Found it very expensive for what it had to offer and it didn't even have a ladies' bathroom on the floor my room was on.If you just want a quiet place to sleep while exploring Riga, Frank's is definitely NOT for you.
