GAS 81 en Singapore, Singapore

It is a nice little Hostel a little bit (with the MRT nearly 20min)outside of the city center of Singpore. The Stuff is very Friendly an the room are OK for the price. I would go there again if i will ever come to singapore again. Steffen, from Germany ~ 25th Mar 2009

$12 dollars from tha airport in the cab which is good and nearest MRT is 15 min walk but terrible box rooms with no windows and bunk bed with flimsy mattress. Nothing else is around in the area and not good value for money. We paid for double room got bunk bed and there is no reception. they leave your keys in a safe box by a computer and send you a password to your emails to open the safe box. you leave the money in the safebox too. will not stay here again.

Hi Boza, We have inform all customers on our website that our room is twin bunk beds for travellers wish to pay for dorm room prices but wants the privacy with some simple amenities. Definitely not for the usual travellers with a bigger budget who only stayed in a private room. As we said again… our no frills, no fancy place is recommended for travellers on a budget.

i would say that it was the smallest room ive stayed in my life, but didn't really feel it because it was organised well.I was also worried about the only 2 bathrooms available for 20 people, but even that was not an issue for throughout the 8 days, i did not have to wait for a single day. But a little renovation in the bathrooms wouldn't be bad. So thoughful to keep a free 24hr internet facility & a local phone connection. Best Value for Money Guys.....U wouldn't Get any such thing for this

The rooms are clean and comfy although they are really small. They provide a free internet access that is very helpful to get information about travelling in Singapore. The staff (lee) is very kind and friendly. But the location is too far away from center of the town eg. orchard road. It takes approx 30 minutes to get there. But it's very close to the airport. The place is just a hostel, where you sleep and place your things. Aside from a computer with free internet, there's nothing more to do here. It was what I wanted, privacy and no frills. The owner, Lee can be contacted through the landline phone, it wasn't your usual hostel where there's a staff on standby. I was ok with that though. Communication with him was ok, he replies promptly. The room was clean, they didn't changed the towel for my 7 days stay and cleaned my garbage, you do it yoursel
