No wifi and a lot of 15 year old kids at the time. It is pretty far from any of the main sights. However, it is very good for the money.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are also offer our beds to groups they like to stay in Berlin because we are one of the famous Hostels. We try our best to keep it quiet during the night but sometimes things happen - we are very sorry about that. Hopefully you enjoyed your stay here in Berlin and we can see you again in one of our Hostels.

It has everything you want, is cheap and includes everything, yet you really don't want to stay there if you are an independent backpacker.Very far from the city, although train lines are convenient, far too big to meet anyone and dominated by noisy school groups, which really changes the dynamic of what could be an awesome backpackers' hostel. Had a very bad experience with Generator hostels..had booked online with checkin time as 6Am and when we turn up there they say the rooms will be available only at 3 PM..will never recommend generator hostels for any one and will warn them about this place.
hello. I apologize for the inconvenience. Such a great hostel as the Generator Hostel is almost always full. Every guest who sleeps with us has the to stay in his room until 10 am. The way you had it, too. At 10:00 clock, we then start get ready the new rooms for the new guests . I hope you accept our apology and understand the situation.

Great Hostel that is very fun and youthful. It gets a little loud at night with a lot of gap year travelers coming and going but it isn't too bad in the rooms. The only slightly unusual thing, maybe just for NAmericans, is that the ixed rooms will have mixed genders randomly assigned so anyone can end up with anyone. Michael, from Canada ~ 4th Jul 2011
