The house has amazing character and is perfectly located just about 5 minutes from everything you could want to see in Coimbra. The owner will give you all the info you need about what to see and where to go without planning your stay for you. This can sometimes be an issue in other places. She can also speak perfectly in Portuguese, English and Dutch. Don't overdo the pasteis de nata as breakfast in the hostel is fantastic. silas wesley, from England ~ 16th Dec 2009

It's a good place to stay in Coimbra: Welcoming atmosphere, kind and helpful staff, speaks English perfectly, very good breakfast, clean and calm, fresh air, because it's on a hill. It's like in a house of a family. The university area is some minutes away and interesting to visit. From the town center you have to go on top of the hill.
