Clean & cozy, eco-conscious, atmosphere is fun and alive. Some guests retiring late talk loudly, & you hear the trains if windows are open, but we generally slept well. Can upgrade to private room for about $10. Price includes breakfast & fresh pancakes: batter & griddle provided, cooking done by you. Close to down town Calgary & trains can check in around the clock. Hostel provides map & much info re: things to do, where to eat, etc. Go for breakfast early as some food items run out. Visiting Calgary for a conference, I decided to save some money and stay at the hostel. As I already had a HiHostel Card, it was very in expensive, clean, with friendly staff, good facilities and breakfast included. The best part though, was that I was a 15 minute walk from everything in down town. Except for those willing to pay $150+ a night to stay right in down town, I was closer to my conference than anyone else. James, from Canada ~ 28th Feb 2012
