Non friendly staff at all levels only work there due to lack of better job offer for them somewhere else need to activate their willing to cooperate with travelers ina more amicable way sure they are some trouble ones but why should the rest pay for those jaime, from USA ~ 26th Oct 2009

Great location . close to everything and warm and friendly atomosphere. Clean and comforable with room to roam with very beautiful views and grounds. Since this was my first time staying at a youth hostel I am surprised and grateful to have found out that so many amazing young to older people frequent hostel's. The staff assisted me and made my transition smooth and effortless. It would of been nice if Fort Mason youth hostel had a bit more information for people unfamiliar with San Francisco. The hostel is in a great location from the main sights of San Fran, but still far enough for some peace and quiet. The staff were both very helpful & friendly. Great facilities. Highly recommended. Antony, from Australia ~ 12th Jul 2009

Great place to stay, heaps of space to relax. nice big dorm rooms, only downside of big dorm rooms more chance of getting a really loud snorer in your dorm, would highly recommend this hostel, although they need more room in the cafe for breakfast, and free tea and coffee wouldn't go astray.
