I loved Hi-Sukhumvit. It is clean, nice and friendly. There's reliable wifi available and free computers with internet in case you need them. Furthermore, there's great street food very close by (try the sticky rice with coconut milk and mango, it's great). Location wise, it's not right in the middle of things but the BTS station is very close (about 5 min. walking), making the rest of Bangkok quite accesible, plus the area has a nice local flavor to it that I liked.
