HQ Villa en Lyon, Peru

This is a great hostel in a safe location. Its extremely clean and well maintained. The staff is great and very knowledgable. The location is only a 10 minute walk from San Isidro(the rich area) and only a 25 minute walk to Kennedy Parque. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of hot water. If you are looking to kick back and rest after a day of shopping this is the plase. This is not a party hostel. It's a great place to stay you will not be disappointed. The hostel's outside and downstairs are beautiful. The breakfast is pretty good, if you can get the staff to pay any attention to you and re-heat your coffee. I stayed on the 3rd floor and here's what happened: Day 1 - mis-assigned room, then in 2nd room, shower, sink, toilet don't work. Day 2- complain, they tell me they have to turn a pump on...even though I've already been here 2 days sans shower. A great hostel. In terms of character, it is the best we have stayed in for a while. Amazing common areas and kitchen facilities. The beds aren't the most comfortable we have had the mattresses are wearing a bit thin. Miraflores, where it is located, is a really nice area. We loved HQ Villa! It's in a gorgeous house in a quiet neighborhood on the Miraflores/San Isidro border. We always had hot water and the house is extremely clean. Owners Mike and Mischa are extremely helpful and friendly. It's a very comfortable place so you won't mind spending a lot of time there. It's not a party hostel. Meghan, from USA ~ 29th Aug 2011
